It is a bit more difficult to find things to do during this year’s summer, with all the restrictions and precautions because of the pandemic. You want to get out but you also don’t want to put yourself or others at risk. With the weather having been nice here for a while now, we have started to explore the province we live in a bit more. And right outside of the city is a lot of farmland.

It is a bit odd how you can just be right in the countryside after only a 15 minute drive. We found some intriguing abandoned barns and farm equipment. There were people working on the farms but everything was just very rustic. I wanted to ask someone if we could explore some of the barns and take some pictures but he either didn’t hear me or ignored me. He was one of those stereotypical North-American farmers: wearing a cowboyhat and cowboyboots and coming out of a trailer outside of the farm. It was almost surreal!

So we settled on roaming the fields a little. It was really beautiful, and the views were amazing, with open land and the mountains in the background. And I have always had a thing for old equipment of any sort. So it was really cool when we found those abandoned pieces here and there. And of course I had to take my clothes off! I didn’t dare strip naked because it was the broad daylight and cars were driving by sometimes. But standing half-naked on old farm equipment in the sunshine, is pretty sinful to me!
