Shadowplay

To the center of the city where all roads meet, waiting for you,

To the depths of the ocean where all hopes sank, searching for you,

I was moving through the silence without motion, waiting for you,

In a room with a window in the corner I found truth.

“Shadowplay” – Joy Division

This is one of those pictures where the end result turned out almost exactly the way I had envisioned it. I wanted to take one of the last 12 Days of Sexmas pictures and combine it with the Sinful Sunday prompt of “Shadows”. So I went for a Christmas candle and thought I might be able to make myself look like a serene bringer of light, most of me still embraced by the shadows. So I turned all the lights off, lit the candle and the second picture in this angle turned out just exactly how I wanted it. I only put one tiny filter on it, and I was done. I have been looking at this picture a few times the last few days, and I am really pleased that I have been able to turn my body into such an interesting work of art.
