Does lingerie make me happy? I don’t think so. I am not a very materialistic person, and a piece of clothing is not something that I’d consider as the main factor for a happy moment. But what it can do is make me feel better about myself when wearing it. I have had body image issues for as long as I can remember. So when I wear something that covers up what I dislike about myself, and enhances what I like, I can almost feel sexy. While lingerie by itself doesn’t make me feel happy, it contributes to my growing ability to appreciate my body and with that maybe the moments when I can smile at my reflection in the mirror and think: well, that is not too bad.
